  • Fukuburger

    croppedlogo
    Japanese burgers yo

So I went to this thing called fukuburger tonight.

Basically, it's one of those food trucks that drive around tweeting their location making whatever they're selling seem exclusive and exotic than it actually is (burgers btw).

Kinda faddish in my opinion, and the burgers are a bit overpriced, but it was a good burger.

Still, it wasn't that great. You'd mostly go just to say you went to fuku burger.

On a side note, I spent like 80 bucks on food this week, and I haven't been working lately! Gonna put in my 8 hours tomorrow...

  • I want to be a vampire from Twilight

    Why?

because I don't want to sleep. Sleeping is a nuisance. I could use those 6 hours to do so many things!

    like study.

    and study.

    and study some more.

But since I'm not a vampire from Twilight, I have to waste away 6 hours dreaming about being a vampire from Twilight.

  • Living

Whenever I watch the discovery health channel, I'm always reminded of how thankful I should be for my health. For the past few years, I've been in perfect health. The only things I could really complain about are a slightly arthritic right wrist (those scanlation days yo lol) and some sinus problems, but really nothing serious.

I just got another reminder today, and it seems I have to remind myself everyday that your health is really something precious and you really can't take it for granted.

    fo sho.

  • Oh My Goddess

You are seriously the most difficult girl I have ever encountered.

If you were a pokemon, you would be a level 100 Mewtwo, and I'd be trying to capture you with a level 5 Rattata. I don't have a Master Ball either! Just some stupid poke balls.

Impossible. Impossible. Impossible! You are just so impossible.

I've had chances to catch others, but I didn't want them, and I didn't need them. Why? It was always you, you, you, driving me completely insane.

When they told me you'd be harder to catch than any other girl, I laughed and I scoffed. I have never failed in catching anyone.

But you truly are the goddess that has eluded me.

Maybe I'm just too full of myself. No one has ever eluded me like you have.

I bet you don't even know how difficult you are. You do it so innocently, and I know it's genuine. Your mind is elsewhere, but your heart is nowhere. Goddess, I can't find it.

    You eschew everyone.

You're so shy, you're so reserved, you're so cautious, but you don't even know that you are a goddess.

There aren't many like you these days. You truly are one of a kind.

You don't care how you look, you don't care what they think, you just don't care about the world.

    You truly are a goddess.

But no longer my goddess. Because I just can't catch you. Oh my goddess.

  • The trainee and the student

"I haven't seen you in forever."

He looked at me like nothing had changed, and maybe nothing really had changed. We were both doing the same thing we did before he left to pursue his new dream, and I stayed to pursue my old plan.

He played the guitar, and I sang. We'd switch roles, he'd sing, I'd play, or sometimes I would grab the bass and drop a line while he continued to strum away. Other times, I'd strum and he'd improvise something on the piano. It was something so natural and fun. Playing all the old instruments to no one at all. Singing to no one at all.

    Suddenly he stopped.

"You should have came with me; I told you, you would have probably had a good chance."

    I laughed.

"It wasn't my dream to begin with. Plus, you know that you were made to do what you do."

He began to play the song we wrote all those years ago.

"Anything I can do, you can do too, if not better. You always shortchange yourself."

I picked up the guitar next to me and joined in. Nostalgia filled my mind as my fingers switched from chord to chord. It's progression was so simple. A... F... G... C...

"You might have been right a few years ago... but the dream I have now is the dream I truly want."

    Silence. Then...

    simply honesty.

"You never get jealous? I know for a fact you could have done it too."

    Simple honesty.

"No... I also know for a fact that I could have never made it."

He tried to speak, but I stopped him short.

    "It wasn't my dream. Remember?"

He nodded wordlessly, and we continued what we always did.

Following our own dreams, and our own paths. We would continue on. Until he left, and I stayed...

but I'd keep on doing what we did:

play. play. play. to no one at all

  • Camping at Too-CHAR Lake

Last, last weekend, I want camping for the first time, and I gotta say, it was supah fun yo! We did all the usual campy type things; you know, make smores, talk around a campfire, go canoeing, etc. We also sang around the campfire while Carol (who I must admit is a pretty cool gal) played her guitar. It was a three day, two night camp out and I can't wait to go again! We're probably going to go back packing in Bryce Canyon or maybe Zion sometime next month, so I'm looking forward to that!

We actually stopped by Bryce Canyon after the campout, just to check it out, but that's for another blog entry! :p

    Canoeing with my sister yo!

    ps. new dog!

    so blurry!

but that's also for another blog entry... XP
